Vehicles are hijacked and burned

9 July 2011 Last updated at 12:42 GMT Vehicle which has been burned A number of vehicles have been hijacked and burned in Lurgan and Craigavon Two vehicles have been hijacked and set on fire in Lurgan and Craigavon.

A white Ford transit lorry was hijacked in the Drumbeg area of Craigavon at about 1850 BST on Friday.

A silver BMW car was later hijacked in the Lake Street area of Lurgan, shortly after 2300 BST.

Police said both vehicles were set alight and have appealed for information.

The hijackings follow a string of similar incidents earlier in the week.

A lorry was burnt out close to Brownlow College on the Tullygally Road in Craigavon on Thursday.

Earlier that day a van was hijacked at gunpoint by two masked men, also in the Tullygally area and set alight.
